Something about Knit....
There's just something about this image of one of my knit samples that's really interesting. It was actually one of my first viscose samples and clearly didn't work out that well, but when I scanned it in to the computer it completely changed the colour (from emerald green to this) and I think theres just something about it...can't put my finger on it. I will be posting a few images of my final work when I get a chance, really mad right now, so many deadlines!

Architecture in Fashion - Inspirations
Continuing on with my current project, looking at architecture and how it can relate to fashion, I have chosen a few favourite images that sort of sum-up the project for me and what I want to achieve. I still have a lot of work to do and a lot more drawings and sampling to work on but I'll keep updated on here to show my progress throughout this project.
I'll start off with inspirational architectural imagery...

Alice Palmer
Recently a friend told me about the young knitwear designer Alice Palmer. I hadn't heard of her until today - (I must have been hiding under a rock to miss this!) - and I have to say her work is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! Such a sculptured and modern take on knitwear - something I have never seen before - and I actually can't get enough of it!
I have been working on my knitwear samples over the last few days and a few of the techniques really relate to her aw10 collection. I was gonna show a few of my favourite images but I couldn't choose between them...

Love the silhouette and the symmetry. |
I have been working on this technique over the last couple of days and it's really not as easy as it looks...trust me! |
